Norman I. Lauffer, 73, of Fayetteville, passed away October 29, 2018 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on January 14, 1945 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to Glenn and Geraldine (Parson) Lauffer. He was a Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He owned and operated the Rite Spot Motel and Restaurant. He had been a crane operator, owning Lauffer Industries. He enjoyed boating and working.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Salmon Lauffer and their daughter, Chari L. Lauffer of Fayetteville. He is survived by a foster-sister, Lorraine Kay Hunter of Hagerstown, MD. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Karen Lauffer, a niece, Kristen Lauffer and a nephew, Stephen W. Lauffer of South Carolina. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen A. Lauffer.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday Nov. 5, at 11:00 at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memoral Gardens.
