Robert L. Rhine, 81, of Chambersburg, and formerly from Shippensburg,   passed away September 2, 2017  at home. He was born on July 26, 1936  in Scotland , Pennsylvania  to Benjamin  and Ruth  (Weaver ) Rhine.  He was an avid golfer and after retirement he worked at the Links of Olde Scotland. and other golf courses in the area.  He had owned and operated R&S Dress Manufacturing in Shippensburg until its closing in 1997. 
     He is survived by his wife, Linda L. HIll Rhine and his five children:  Jeffrey (husband of Andrea) Rhine of St. Petersburg, FL, John Rhine of Shippensburg, Terry (husband of Brenda) Mentzer of St. Petersburg, FL, MaryJo (wife of Charlie) Suders of Shippensburg, Robert Rhine of Harrisburg, and a sister, Patricia (wife of Jack) Witmer of Birmingham, Michigan.  He has eight grandchildren and three greast-grandchildren.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin Rhine.
     Services will be private and at the convenience of the family, as per Robert's wishes.  Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg has been entrusted with his arrangements. The family requests the omission of flowers and that memorial donations be sent to Cumberland Valley School of Music, 1015 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kelsocorneliusfh.com.

Linda, so sorry to read about Bob in the paper. We grew up as kids together and played sports together. He was a nice guy and I always enjoyed seeing him at our office.
