Rice (Lilley) Carol, age 73 passed away peacefully on August 20th, 2018 at her home in Venice, Florida with her brother Michael by her side after a brief illness.  She was preceded in death by her husband Charles whom she shared 32 years of marriage.  Surviving are her brother Michael Lilley (Shirley), nephew Todd Lilley (Jacqueline), Julia and Emma, nieces Tara Lilley, Heather Lilley, brother-in-law Stan Rice (Doris), sister-in-law Martha Miller and Aunt Louise Lilley.  She was the daughter of Virginia and Robert Lilley of Chambersburg.

Carol graduated from Chambersburg Area High School in 1963.  She attended Penn Hall and received an Associate Degree in Merchandising.  She worked as an assistant buyer at Strawbridge & Clothier in Philadelphia.  After obtaining a para-legal degree she worked as Clerk of Courts in Chester County for many years.  She was a member of The Messiah Lutheran Church of Downingtown, Pa. during her residence there.
  After retiring to Venice, Fla. she became active on the governing board of her Plantation community.  Carol also enjoyed extensive traveling, collecting antiques, decorating, reading and socializing.  She had many dear friends that will certainly miss her.  
Funeral services will be held Monday August 27th at 1:30PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg,   In lieu of flowers please consider contributions to The American Cancer Society.
