Eathel D. Thatcher

Eathel D. Thatcher, 80, of Mercersburg,  Pennsylvania  passed away January 4, 2020  at Select Specialty Hospital  Camp Hill, Pennsylvania . She was born on April 9, 1939  in Hancock, Maryland  to Luther  and Mary Weller.  She had worked at the Mercersburg Tannery until it closed.  She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
     She is survived by her husband of thirty-two years,  Brooks Thatcher, and her five children; Gay Ann Gordon of Mercersburg, Debra Mumma of Mercersburg, Jeffrey Christy of Mercersburg, Tina Marie (wife of Galen) Baum of Chambersburg, Timothy Christy of Ft. Loudon, PA. Eathel has eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents she was preceded  in death by a son, Garry Christy.
     A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Saturday January 18th at 4:00 PM at the Ft.
