Obituary for Abram Brechbill Reed Abram Brechbill Reed , 92 , of Chambersburg, passed away May 26, 2016 at Chambersburg Hospital. Abram was born April 28, 1924 in Chambersburg the son of the late Joseph Clyde and Mary Dice Reed. He was a dairy farmer in the Chambersburg area all of his life. Abram was a member of Crider's United Brethren Church since he was a child. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting and collecting, family genealogy, reading local history, groundhog trapping and gardening. He had written a book entitled "Memories of Our Farm", which was a collection of his memories growing up and living on the farm. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Grace Marie Zulllinger Reed and their four children: Diane (wife of Larry) Reed of Shippensburg, Delbert (husband of Connie) Reed of Chambersburg, Allen Reed of Chambersburg, and James (husband of Melissa) Reed of Waynesboro. He has eight grandchildren: Carol, Craig, Sherry, Travis, Chanel, Casey, Brian and Justin. He also has thirteen great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Helen Reed and a brother-in-law Nelson Wingert. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters; Martha Sollenberger, Mary Jane Wingert, Ruth Heffner, Orpha Wingert and six brothers: Harry, Frank, Garnet, John, Charles and David Reed. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Crider's United Brethren Church with Rev. Keith Elliott officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday., Interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
