Alfred C. Toll Jr., 93, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away August 28, 2021 at home. He was born on March 25, 1928 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Alfred and Flora (Maxwell) Toll. He served in the US Army for 30 years, retiring in 1975, serving in the 82nd Airborne (The Screaming Eagles). Since that time he has been a self employed consultant. He was a member of George Washington Masonic Lodge, VFW Post 1599, Elks Club, and the American Legion.
He is survived by his three daughters: Susan (wife of Tommy) England of Dillwyn, VA, Cynthia (wife of Kyle) Welch of Reno, NV., and Nancy (wife of Michael) Kirkessner of Hanover, PA. He has six grandchildren: Kristen, Michael, Barrett, Brandon, Dylan, Daniel and seven great-grandchildren: Amber, Eli, Noelle, Ruby, Wyatt, Waylon, and Rylee. He has a sister, Catherine Julian of Fayetteville, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Nancy in 2014.
A reception will be held in his honor at the VFW Post 1599 in Chambersburg on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 3:00-5:00 PM. The family requests the omission of flowers and asks that memorial donation to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
