Anita Eileen (Scott) Johnson, 65, passed away June 14, 2026. She was born August 17, 1960, in Chambersburg, PA, the daughter of Leighton D. Sr. And Doris J. (Perry) Scott. She attended Chambersburg Area Senior High School. 

Anita enjoyed dancing, traveling, playing bingo and listening to R&B music. She was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and worked in retail. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Anita is survived by her husband of 23 years, Joseph Johnson; son Christopher Scott; stepdaughter Shaliqua; siblings Angela Harris, Deborah Manning, Melinda Woods, Mark Scott and Leighton Scott Jr., as well as nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brother-in-law Eddie King; sister-in-law Gloria Stephens, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. 

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg, with Pastor Victor Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shippensburg Community Resource Center.
