Barry E. Hamilton

Barry E. Hamilton, 77, of Chambersburg, passed away September 24, 2023, at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on July 22, 1946, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to Mary (Hamilton) Schooley. Barry served in the United States Air Force. He was a lifetime and dedicated member of the Mercersburg American Legion Post 517. He enjoyed hunting and striper fishing. After retirement he enjoyed spending time at the family farm. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. 

Barry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol (Conner) Hamilton, children Edward Hamilton and Angela Peck, grandchildren; Mallory Peck, Jacob Hamilton, Sydney Hamilton and Elizabeth Hamilton. He is also survived by his siblings Sharon Doyle, Gary Schooley, Mary Hershey and Robin Barnhart. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Schooley. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg, with Pastor Stan McCammon officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed at www.kelsocorneliusfh.com.
