Beatrice Ruth (Johnson) Brown

Beatrice Ruth (Beaty)  Brown, 84, of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania passed away August 2, 2021 at Chambersburg Hospital.  She was born on July 6, 1937  in Shade Gap, Pennsylvania  to Bruce  and Mary  (Deshong) Johnson.  She had worked at the Stanley Company as a seamstress until they closed.  She also worked at Manor Care and Shook Home in housekeeping.  She enjoyed watching dirt track racing in the area, where her children and grandchildren raced.  She enjoyed flowers including her roses.  She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities and spending time with family.  
     She is survived by  her husband of 64 years, Harold (Bud) Brown and their three children:  Rick (husband of Susan) Brown of St. Thomas, Steven (husband of Almea) Brown of Mercersburg, and Crystal (wife of Jeremy) Paisley of Carlisle.  She has seven grandchildren: Mindy Johnson, Samantha Brown, Stephanie Manney, Dustin Brown, Ryan Brown, Joshua Paisley, and Erica Paisley,  and five great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by two brothers, Guy Johnson of Shade Gap, and Max Johnson of Chambersburg and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Wenger and her brother, Wayne Johnson.
     Funeral services will be conducted Monday August 9, 2021 at 11:00AM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, St. Thomas with Traci Walls officiating.  The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday.  Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
