Bertha P. (Myers) Snyder

Bertha P. Myers Snyder, 99 and eight months, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away July 3, 2021 at the Shook Home surrounded by her family.   She was born on October 16, 1921  in Pleasant Hall, Pennsylvania  to Warren  and Susan  (Sandoe) Zullinger.  Bertha had worked at the Shirtcraft Co. in Shippensburg, Pete Dales sewing factory Mercersburg,  Sagner Co. in McConnellsburg and the Knitting Mill in Waynesboro, where she retired in 1981.  She was a member of the Chambersburg Church of the Brethren.  She enjoyed sewing, candy making, baking and doing crafts up into her 90s.  
     She is survived by her eight children:  Kenneth ( Martha) Myers of St. Thomas, Donald (Shirley) Myers of Mercersburg, Leroy (Donna) Myers in Palmyra, Jay (Sandra) Myers of Mercersburg, Virginia (Robert) Brindle of St. Thomas, Linda (William) Zeger of Mercersburg, Dennis (Penny) of Ft. Loudon, Mary Susan (Kenny) Wingert of Chambersburg.  She is survived by nineteen grandchildren and forty-four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.  She is survived by one sister Grace Reed and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Zullinger and Miriam Brechbill.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Myers and her second husband, Eldridge Snyder, her infant son, Mark Ralph Myers, two grandchildren, Jeffrey Myers and Debra Myers Bakner, six sisters and six brothers.
     Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00AM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg with Rev. Joel Nogle and Harold Yeager officiating.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Meyers Cemetery, Welsh Run.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kelsocorneliusfh.com.  The family would like to thank the staff at the Shook Home for their loving care that they extended to her.  The family requests the omission of flowers and asks that memorial donations be sent to Chambersburg Church of The Brethren, 260 S.
