Betty L. Addlesberger

Betty L. Addlesberger, 92, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away September 3, 2023. She was born on December 25, 1930, in Dry Run, Pennsylvania to Jake and Frances Hockenberry. Betty worked in nursing for many years and was retired from Mennohaven. She enjoyed taking the grandkids hill-hopping, looking at Christmas lights and she loved the beauty of churches and trees. She was a very caring person with a heart of gold and was always willing to help others. 

Betty is survived by her children; Ricky (Jeri) Dick, Julene (James's "Mo") McCullough, Brenda (the late Ralph Wharton, Jr.) Fisher, Terry (Lesa) Dick, Carla (Ken Ritchey) Roles, grandchildren; Alisha (Eddie) Mottern, Michael Fisher, Angie (Kevin) Beck, McKayelyn Crouse, LaKeisha Roles, Kayla Roles and Cory Wharton, great-grandchildren; Alexis Bender, Kirsten Myers, Landon Fisher, Kaiden Beck and Inara Boxley, great-great grandchild, Kinsley Myers, and her sister Bonnie Seaman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Frances Hockenberry, her son Richard Dick, her grandsons Bryett Fisher, Colby Dick, and her granddaughter Christy. She is also preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and her dog, Molly.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff that cared for Betty (Georgia, Conny, Chrissy) and all the personal aides that had close relationships with her. They would also like to thank Grane Hospice caretakers for the time they took care of her.
