Betty Mae (Mackey) Clawson

Betty Mae (Mackey) Clawson of Saint Thomas, PA passed away peacefully at UPMC Hospital in Carlisle, PA on August 29, 2023. She was born on August 31, 1937, in Letterkenny Twp, Franklin County PA. She was the daughter of Russell and Anna Mary Mackey. She was the wife of John F. Clawson. They were married on May 4, 1968. She worked at the Stanley Company and in later years cared for older persons in their home for a number of years. Betty was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the Catholic Women of the Knights of Columbus. 

She is survived by her husband, John F. Clawson, daughter, Connie Marie Scott, grandson Cody Scott, as well as two great-granddaughters, Calla Scott and Henley Scott. She is also survived by a brother, Charles J. Perry of Shippensburg, PA. She was preceded in death by a son, John F. Clawson, Jr., and a number of sisters and a brother. 

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg. A graveside service will be held at Corpus Christi Cemetery on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 1:00 PM with Fr. Allan Wolfe officiating. A visitation will also be held a half hour before the graveside service at the funeral home. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg has been entrusted with these services.
