Brenda Kay Boppe, 57, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away February 26, 2024 at Chambersburg Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on October 10, 1966  in Hagerstown, MD to Nelson L. Clay and William P. and Linda (Burgan) Crouse. Brenda loved animals, crafting, cooking, baking and the outdoors. She loved going to Chincoteague, it was her happy place. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy. 

Brenda is survived by her husband, Kevin Boppe of Chambersburg, children Wilmer R. (Goose) Gossard, III. of Chambersburg, Winters James Gossard (Caitlyn) of Mercersburg, siblings, Robbin Kelley (Doug) of Martinsburg, Steve Crouse of Hagerstown, Melinda Rosario (Tony) of Hagerstown, Diane Perez (Chuck) of Hagerstown, Jean Whittington (Rick) of Hagerstown, William "Bill" Crouse Jr of Greencastle, Melissa Crouse (Chuck) of Martinsburg, and Amy Henry of Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren Daniel Shumate Jr, Joshua Shumate, Donald Waters Jr and Dekota Waters, all of Waynesboro, Caylea Kriner-Hill, Eliza Gossard and Ezri Gossard, all of Mercersburg, son-in-law Donald Waters of Waynesboro, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her daughter, Nicole L. Gossard, and grandparents, Lloyd and Marguarite Burgan and John and Margie Clay.  

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg. A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 PM.
