Calvin J. Frederick III Obituary

Calvin J. Frederick III, 67, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away June 14, 2026. He was born May 13, 1959, in Chambersburg, PA, the son of Calvin J. Frederick Jr and Bonnie (Cowan) Renfrew. 


Calvin graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1977. He worked at Grove Manufacturing, T. B. Woods and Castle Machinery. He was a member of the Amvets, Post 224, and the American Legion, Post 421. He enjoyed cookouts, pool parties, sports, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Calvin was known for his outgoing personality and was always just a phone call away if needed. 


Calvin is survived by mother; wife of 42 years, Dixie; children, Chandace R. Miley, Tyler J. Frederick (Nataushia); sister Marteena Starr (Bob); brother William J. Frederick; grandchildren, Elizabeth Danzberger (Mark), Myleigh Danzberger (Ellie), Jesse Mendoza, Christian Mendoza, Phoebe Danzberger and Aeryal Rayne Frederick; mother-in-law Barbara J. Gardner; sister-in-law Sharlie Peters and Phoenix. 


Calvin was preceded in death by his father; stepfather Edward L. Renfrew; aunts, Karon Reasner and Trudy Broxson; uncle, William Cowan; and grandparents, Mary and William Cowan, Isabella and Calvin Frederick Sr. 


A celebration of life will be held at a later date. 


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to offset funeral costs.
