Camdyn David Eugene Moomaw graciously gained his angel wings on Friday April 29th, 2022 at a precious 6 years old. Camdyn was a firecracker from the moment he entered this world on July 1st 2015 at a tiny but mighty 1 lb 10 oz. He was absolutely loved by all that knew him and instantly stole their hearts. Never meeting a stranger, he melted the heart of everyone that he met.
He was currently enrolled at Franklin Learning Center where he loved to play with others, learn, ride the bus, and meet new friends. Some of his favorite pastimes when not in school were petting any animal, no matter how big or small; playing outside anytime he could; and spending time with his family. The only thing he loved more than bubbles was water, no matter how cold it was, he was always swimming.
Camdyn was the light of his parents' world (Maranda and Shane Moomaw). He was deeply loved by all of his family which includes his maternal grandparents; Lori Hartman (Mimi), Darrell (Pap Pap), Jeff Stepler Jr (Pappy), and Tara Logsdon (Grammy); maternal great grandparents, Nancy and Bob Statler; paternal grandparents Sharon and Mike Moomaw (Grandma and Poppy); paternal great grandparents Genevieve and Carl Hock; Aunts Shakira Weaver, Courtney Weaver, Marissa Johnson, Cindi Kerns, Ariana Burke, Ashleigh Hatfield; Uncles T.J. McGowan and Curtis Moomaw; Cousins Hayley and Mia Moomaw and many extended family including Eric, Charlee, Uncle T, Aunt Wendy, Maddy, Uncle Denny, Kathy, and so many others. He was preceded in death by Dave McGowan (Pappy Dave) 2013.
His parents will receive family and friends Tuesday May 3, 2022 at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in Chambersburg from 5-7, a funeral service will follow the visitation. Casual attire is requested as Camdyn despised dressing up. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the Dravet Syndrome Research Foundation (https://www.dravetfoundation.org/donate) and/or the Ronald McDonald House of Hershey Pennsylvania (https://rmhcozarks.org/donate).
