Carl Eugene Hartman Obituary

Carl Eugene Hartman, 91, of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully July 7, 2022 at home.  He was born on May 29, 1931  in Edenville, Pennsylvania  to Earl  and Theora  (Shuman) Hartman.  He is a member of St. Thomas Assembly of God Church.  Carl served in the United States Air Force for 21 years, and then worked at Letterkenny Army Depot for 20 years, retiring in 1993.  He enjoyed hunting, wood working, and leather working.  He volunteered for many years with the Royal Rangers program of the Assembly of God Church. He was the "Best Dad Ever".
     He is survived by his five children:  Mark (husband of Sherry) Hartman of Ft. McCord, Paul (husband of Judy) Hartman of Bellevue, Nebraska, Connie (wife of Darryl) Clugston of Chambersburg, Eileen (wife of Joel) Alleman of Orrstown, and Joycelynn (wife of Dan) Johnson of Chambersburg.  He has nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by a sister, Beatrice L. Rock of Chambersburg.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charline Bishop Hartman in 2018 and a infant daughter, Shirley Ann Hartman.   
     Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 13, at 11:00AM at the St. Thomas Assembly of God Church with Rev. Josh Baldwin and Josh Hartman officiating.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, St. Thomas and one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kelsocorneliusfh.com.
