Carl Leroy Sheriff, Jr., 57, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away August 10, 2024. He was born on March 22, 1967, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Carl L Sr., and Marylou (Hoover) Sheriff.
Carl was a cherished member of the Versuni family, known for his strength as a leader, his wisdom as a mentor, his dedication as an educator, and his warmth as a friend. His passions were as diverse as his spirit, encompassing motorcycles, gardening, survival skills, and an appreciation for the finer things in life. Carl was also a lover of all God's creatures and a proud member of the American Legion. His love for travel and lifelong learning was evident to all who knew him. Above all, he was a devoted father, son, and husband, whose love extended beyond his family to the close-knit community he held dear. Carl believed in the principle of leaving the world better than he found it, a legacy he has undoubtedly left in the hearts and lives of many. His presence will be deeply missed, but his impact will be forever felt.
In addition to his parents, Carl is survived by his wife, Sherri Sheriff, children Chelsea Sheriff, Carl L. Sheriff, III., Claire Sheriff, Layla Barnes, Patience Barnes, 5 grandchildren, sibling Jaime Leibfried.
