Charles H. Brown, 89, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away April 12, 2019 at home with his family by his side. He was born on October 12, 1929 in Hagerstown, Maryland to Charles and Audrey (Shank) Brown. He was a Marine Corps Veteran serving during WWII. He loved woodworking, model building and art. He was a member of the Franklin County Art Alliance. Charles was an artist since 1968. He taught watercolor painting classes and shared his love of this and his talent by giving numerous demonstrations using this medium. He received awards throughout the United States and Canada. He worked in the aerospace industry for 45 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann C. (Kiser) Brown and his six children: Cris (wife of Jim) Anderson of Englewood, FL, Larry (husband of Gail) Brown of Lockport, NY, Kathy (wife of Dan) Nelson of Veneta, OR, Richard Bowers of Jacksonville, NC, Tina Cragg of Kenmore, NY. He has eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. He is survived by a brother, David (husband of Nancy) Brown of Hagerstown, MD and a sister Joan Lane of Mt. A memorial service will be held Saturday April 27th at 11:00 AM at the Shiloh United Methodist Church on Shiloh Road in Hagerstown, MD. with Pastor Dionne Hall officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg has been entrusted with conducting services.
