Charlotte M. Salmon

Charlotte M. Salmon, 94, of Chambersburg passed away March 6, 2023. She was born on February 8, 1929, in Lurgan, Pennsylvania to Philip D. and C. Gertrude (Powell) Hollar. Charlotte retired from the Register and Recorders Office of the Franklin County Courthouse. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Charlotte is survived by her son Phillip Gordon (husband of Patty) Salmon, three grandchildren, Shelly (wife of Anthony) George, Phillip (husband of Carol) Salmon II, Chari Lauffer, six great-grandchildren, Ethan, Audrey, Rebecca, Rileigh, Peyton and Michael.  In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by husband, Ray F. Salmon, and daughter, Barbara R. (wife of the late Norman) Lauffer. 

A funeral service for Charlotte will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg, with Chaplain Brenda Doyle officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter.
