Cheryl Renee (Scott) Hall, 58, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania entered into glory on December 30th, 2021. Born in Augusta, Georgia on November 23rd, 1963, Renee dedicated her life to the service of God’s kingdom. In 1985, she married the love of her life, Randal, to whom she loved and served faithfully for 36 years. Renee was a kind and compassionate mother, dedicating herself fully to the calling of motherhood she had received. More recently, she relished the role of grandma to four cherished grandchildren. Renee made it her life’s mission to make Christ known. This was evidenced by the many ministry roles she held throughout the years in various schools and churches. She loved children and had a way of making the gospel tangible to each and every one. Renee loved unconditionally and ran the race until her final breath. Today, she is singing at her Savior’s feet.
Renee is survived by her husband, Randal Wayne Hall; her son, Zachary Nathan Girard; her daughter, Amelia Elaine Swartz (Logan); her grandchildren, Grant Nathaniel Swartz, Caroline Mae Swartz, Reid Matthew Swartz, and Graham Perry Swartz; two brothers, Mike Scott and Randy Scott; and one sister, Linda Harrington. She is preceded in death by her parents, Timmons Eugene Scott and Peggy Jean (Grimaud) Scott, and her sister, Margaret Adell Howard.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Friday, January 7th, 2022 at King Street Church, 56 North Second Street Chambersburg, PA 17201 with Reverend Don Baker and Reverend Ron Cook officiating. Proverbs 31-“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”
