Christian H. Frey, 83, of Chambersburg, went to be with the Lord November 7, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born June 19, 1941, in Chambersburg, to Christian and Nora (Martin) Frey. Christian was a dairy farmer for many years. He spent many hours in his woodshop. In his retirement years, he made many wooden cars and airplanes for Operation Christmas Child. Christian was a member of the Chambersburg Mennonite Church and served many years as a trustee. 

Christian is survived by his wife of 58 years, Geraldine (Denlinger) Frey, children; JoAnn (wife of Wyatt) Rebuck, Donna (wife of Jay) Hess, and Sandra (wife of Brian) Egolf, grandchildren; Derek Rebuck, Luke Rebuck, Trever Hess, Tyler Hess, Trenton Hess, Tucker (husband of Cassandra) Hess, Steven (husband of Tiara) Egolf, Emily (wife of Benjamin) Clemmer and Seth (husband of Alex) Egolf, great-grandchildren; Lucas Hess and Tessa Egolf. In addition to his parents, Christian was preceded in death by a daughter RuthAnn Frey, brother, Lester Frey. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday. November 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Chambersburg Mennonite Church with Pastors Dale Lehman and Jerry Roth officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Christian’s name may be made to Cumberland Valley Relief Center or Samaritan’s Purse.
