Christine Lee Wagner, formerly of Boonsboro, MD, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her home after a lengthy illness.

Born February 4, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Preston E. Violet and Leona F. (Jamison) Violet. She was the wife of Phillip G. Wagner, whom she married October 6, 1973.

She graduated from Boonsboro High School with the class of 1971, and soon thereafter found employment with the Washington County Health Department as a medical secretary. She was there until she received the call of motherhood in late 1979, when she transitioned to stay-at-home-mom for her two children, born 15 months apart. When her children were old enough for school, she returned to the workforce with Washington County Public Schools, first as a volunteer, then as a substitute teacher and instructional assistant. She found her true calling as school secretary and bookkeeper at Boonsboro Elementary, where she enjoyed serving the needs of students, staff and the community until her retirement in 2015.

In retirement, they built a small home west of Chambersburg, PA, and enjoyed traveling, and time with family and friends. They joined the West Side Brethren In Christ Church and made new friends as they continued to grow in their faith. As her illness progressed, she found enjoyment in watching game shows and Hallmark movies, and birdwatching in her sunroom.

She was a talented musician, playing first clarinet with the Rohrersville Band for over 50 years. She also enjoyed singing with numerous choirs and smaller ensembles throughout her lifetime.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Matthew (Jeanette) and daughter, Amy, and grandchildren Brady, Reagan, and Blaize. Also, a brother, Larry (Debbie) and sister Kim.

In accordance with her wishes, services will be private.

She leaves a legacy of love and caring. Please honor her memory with an act of kindness. Most importantly, prepare yourself to join her in her heavenly home.
