Clarence B. Strite, 90, of Chambersburg, PA passed away December 8, 2020 at Menno Haven. He was born on December 28, 1929 in Leitersburg, MD to Earl and Ada (Burkholder) Strite. He is a member of Chambersburg BIC Church. He retired from Clugston Implements after 30 years of service and after retiring he became a pastor of Black Oak Mennonite Church, Warfordsburg, PA. He also was a pastor at Cedar Grove Mennonite Church in Greencastle, PA. He loved reading and teaching the Bible. He was a person of integrity, who loved people and never met a stranger. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He had a servants heart and was a spiritual giant of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Grace (Clugston) Strite and their five children: Nathan (husband of Sherrie) Strite of Sebring, FL, Wilmer (husband of Frances) Strite of Valdosta, GA, Alvin (husband of Michelle) Strite of Mercersburg, Anna Mae Burkholder of Chambersburg and Kevin (husband of Lynda) Strite of Elkton, VA. He is survived by a number of grandchildren &great-grandchildren and by a sister & two brothers. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Ann & Brenda, son-in-law Marlin Burkholder and two brothers.
In deference to the current COVID-19 crisis the funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
