Clement L. Runyon Jr.

Clement L. Runyon Jr., 80, of Chambersburg, PA passed away November 24, 2022, at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on August 29, 1942, in Chambersburg, PA. He and his wife Dale were married on December 22, 1964, in Basel, Switzerland. Clem was a Marine from 1960 to 1965 as a security guard at the Paris Embassy where he met Dale. He then worked for SKF Industries for 31 years, Western Auto, and Martin’s Refrigeration before retiring.

Clem is survived by his children: Matt Runyon (wife Barbra) of Fayetteville, PA, Michele Hawbaker (husband Michael) of Shade Gap, PA, Chad Runyon of Fayetteville, PA, and a daughter-in-law, Stacy Runyon of Fayetteville, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kyle and Cole Runyon, Makayla Evans (husband Zeb), Bryce, Sadie Anderson (husband Keith), Lance, Grant, Kelsie and Whitney Hawbaker, Jessie Shoemaker (husband Nate), a great-grandchild Colter Anderson, siblings Jack Runyon (wife Sharon), Richard Runyon (wife Linda), Nancy King (husband Bill), Lucy Runyon, Nick Runyon, two sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Clem was preceded in death by his parents Clement and Jean (Rotz) Runyon, his wife Dale, of 58 years, and a son Mark Runyon.

A memorial service for Clem will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Pond Bank Community Church, 6555 Duffield Road, Chambersburg, PA, with Pastor Jeremy Lehman officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial with Military Honors will take place at Parklawn Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum.
