Clyde M. Burkholder, 76, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on February 14, 2022 at York Hospital with his family nearby. He was born on January 15, 1946 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to Edward and Barbara (Miller) Burkholder. He was a dairy farmer for 29 years and then worked at Franklin Feed for fifteen years. He was a member of Criders United Brethren Church. He enjoyed playing shuffleboard, bike riding with his wife, and playing his guitar.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Lillian Smeltzer Burkholder and their two children: Barry Burkholder Chambersburg and Connie (wife of Steve) Johnson of Chambersburg. He is also survived by a son in law, Rich Dangler and four grandchildren: Bethany (wife of Kurt) Eisele of Plantsville, Connecticut, Trent Dangler of Fayetteville, Toby Johnson of Chambersburg and Taylor Johnson of Chambersburg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Dangler.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday Feb. 21, 2022 at 11:00AM at Criders United Brethren Church with Rev. Ron Cook officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Brechbill Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.kelsocorneliusfh.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Criders United Brethren Church.
