David S. Brown, 56, of Edenville, Pennsylvania passed away September 15, 2019 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on July 29, 1963 in Pompton Plains, New Jersey to Buford Brown and Lenore Sampson. He worked for the Borough of Chambersburg as an Electrical Distribution Supervisor for the past 27 years. He was an Air Force veteran and the Air National Guard Red Horse Unit out of Fort Indiantown Gap. He was a member of the Edenville United Methodist Church where he had been quite active in the day to day activities. He had been a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader, troop 370 in St. Thomas. He enjoyed the outdoors; gardening, hunting, fishing, trapping, boating, camping and tending to his chickens. He was also a member of the American Legion, Chambersburg Club, St. Thomas Sportsman's Association and Mt. Olivet Men's Group.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Sebold Brown and their three children: Nicholas (husband of Nicole) Brown of St. Thomas, Samantha Brown of Edenville, and Daniel (husband of Dee) Brown of Norristown, PA. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Chloe, Olivia, and Kyle. He is survived by his mother, Lenore Sampson Hubinger of Wayne, NJ., and his sister, Denise as well as two brothers, Edward & Joseph, as well as step siblings Matthew Morgan and Cindy Mullens. He was preceded in death by his father and step-father, Edward Hubinger.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 27th from 6 to 8 PM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in Chambersburg. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 28th, at 11 AM and the family will receive friends 1 hour prior, at Mount Olivet United Brethren Church 8204 Fort McCord Rd Chambersburg. Internment will follow at Edenville United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Edenville United Methodist Church 2504 Apple Way, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
