David Franklin Oden, Jr., 63, of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania passed away March 15, 2024. He was born on December 6, 1960 in Berkley Springs, West Virginia to David and Estelle Oden.

David enjoyed working in his lily patch, writing poems, studying history and cooking for the family. His sense of humor and constant jokes will be deeply missed by his family and friends. David was most proud of his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching them grow, attending their sporting events, helping with homework and passing on his love of music.

David is survived by his wife of 36 years, Deborah (Allmon) Oden and daughters, Amanda (Karrie) and Samantha Oden, as well as stepchildren Shawn Miller (Stephanie), Tracey Matthews (Chris) and Justin Lahaza (Jessica). David also had 16 grandchildren: Noah, Isaiah, Riley, Dominic, Cameron, Mackenzie, Malachi, Kaylee, Landry, Azalea, Caleb, Christopher, Amara, Callie, Owen and Aurora. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda Mckenrick.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
