Deloyce “Jean” Alwine was born August 26, 1935. She went home to be her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 28, 2025. Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Alwine. She is survived by her loving family; brother, Eddie Conner of Chambersburg, son, Greg Suders of Chambersburg (Linda), daughter, Lisa Dugger of Elizabethton, TN, son, Steven Suders of Brenham, TX (Sheila) and son, D. Neil Suders of Myersville, MD (Misty). She has eleven grandchildren: Cortnie Dalton (Joshua), Erin Walter (Jeff), Landon Letterman, Randy Suders (Christine), Karla Rotz (Brady), Jordan Suders, Rich Suders (Tiffany), Megan Acosta, Reagan Suders (Meredith), Ryan Suders (Samantha) and Laiton Heckman (Seth). Additionally, she is survived by twelve great-grandchildren. She was also known as “momma Jean” to many foster children.

Jean was born in Oklahoma, but spent most of her life in Chambersburg. She retired from the Letterkenny Army Depot. She was a faithful wife and mother. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ that she lived out unashamedly. Jean loved spending time with her family. She was also very talented making crafts. She could take trash and turn it into treasures. Her past time enjoyment included being a Philadelphia Phillies fan as well as a rabid Washington Redskins fan. She will be greatly missed. She touched so many lives during her short journey on this earth.

A celebration of life service will be held on August 15, at noon, at the Grand Point Church in Chambersburg.
