Dixie Simpson, 82, of Chambersburg, PA, went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2025. She was born July 10, 1943 in Chambersburg, PA, the daughter of John and Phoebe (McNew) Brookens. 

 

Dixie enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cooking and spending time with her family. She had a special love for cats, rescuing and caring for many throughout her life. 

 

Dixie is survived by two children; Tracy E. Rutz (Rob) and David C. Simpson Jr (Misty Pensinger), grandchildren; Whitney Rutz, Braquel Rutz, Tanner Rutz, Cody Stevens and Daniel Stevens, siblings; Garnet Brookens (Sharon) and Joyce Dehart. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina C. Simpson, and eleven siblings. 

 

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
