Donald Gene Begalke

Donald Gene Begalke, 79, of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania passed away May 17, 2023, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He was born on December 14, 1943, in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Walter H. and Esther M. (Keasey) Begalke. He graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1961 and then graduated from IUP in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. He briefly lived in Ohio and was a professor at Case Western Reserve University. Donald then moved to California and then to Arizona, where he retired from working for the state of Arizona where he worked in Economic Securities. He was very interested in the Sierra Club and was an avid hiker. He was a beloved son, brother and uncle. 

Donald is survived by Sister Nancy (Begalke) Keller and numerous nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Robert Begalke, sister Joan (Begalke), Zelek, and brother William Begalke.
