Donald W. (Don) Scott, 81, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away November 7, 2022 at home with family by his side.  He was born on February 27, 1941 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to Henry and Mary (Kriner) Scott.  He had worked for his father, HR. Scott Plumbing and Heating and then owned Don Scott Plumbing and Heating.  He was a life member of St. Thomas Volunteer Fire Company, where he had served as both Chief and President of the company.  He was a life member of the South Mountain Rangers Riding Club.  He enjoyed wood working, horseback riding, and spending time with his family.
     He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Beverly K. Morton Scott and their two children:  Ray E. (husband of Pamela) Scott of Mercersburg and Christine M. (wife of Robert) Peiffer of Chambersburg. He has the following grandchildren: RJ Peiffer, Blaine (husband of Megan) Peiffer, Tara Kelly, Joshua Kelly, Shawna Kelly, Jesse (husband of Lexi) Kelly, Mckenzie Scott and Taylor Scott and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Scott, a sister, Charlotte Clopper and a brother Robert E. Scott.
     Funeral services will be conducted Thursday Nov. 10, 2022 at 11:00AM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg with Chaplain Joel Nupp officiating.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.  Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Thomas Volunteer Fire Company, St. Thomas, PA.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kelsocorneliusfh.com.
