Donna R. Souders

Donna R. Souders, 86, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on April 13, 2024. She was born on February 2, 1938, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to Garnet and Evelyn (Summers) Sackman.

Donna worked as a teacher’s aide at the Chambersburg Area School District for many years. She enjoyed every minute with her children and grandchildren, sitting on the beach soaking up the sun, listening to music, and gardening. She loved spending time with her friends and family by hosting picnics, holiday gatherings and sitting by the fire.

Donna is survived by four children; Bret Souders, Tracey Fennel, David (husband of Shiela) Souders, and Michael (husband of Angela) Souders, grandchildren; Blake Souders, Kylee Fennel, Joshua Souders, Grant Souders, Madelyn Souders, Calvin Souders, and Alayna Souders. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred “Bill” J. Souders.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be held at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, at the convenience of the family.
