Doris C. (Haugh) Armstrong Obituary

Doris C. Armstrong, 88, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away December 1, 2022 at Chambersburg Hospital.  She was born on February 15, 1934 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania to Ralph and Annie (Gift) Haugh.  She graduated from Waynesboro High School Class of 1951.  She retired from the Chambersburg School District where she had been secretary to the Director of Elementary Education.  Previously she had been Supervisor of Bookkeeping at F & M Trust.  Recently they became members of St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Upton, PA.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She enjoyed crafting, making wreaths, cooking and baking.
     She is survived by her husband of seventy years, Richard L. Armstrong and their two daughters:  Sandy (wife of Randy) Moore of Chambersburg and Denise (wife of the late Karl) Cook of Chambersburg.  She has three grandchildren: Jennifer, Jeff, and Katelyn; a step-grandson, Kellan Cook, and seven great-grandchildren: Jakob, Jude, Grey, and Cadence, Adler, Bennett, and Indie. She is survived by a brother, H. Eugene Haugh and was preceded in death by nine siblings.
