Edith “Edie” Virginia Row (affectionately known as Mom Bain), 95, of Edenville, PA, went to be with the Lord, July 13, 2024, with family and dear friend Patti Moore by her side. She was born March 27, 1929, in Chambersburg, PA to William F. Hill and Nellie M. (Dietrich) Hill. She was preceded in death by husbands Guy W. Bain and Sammy B. Row, siblings, Beverly M. Corrie and William E. Hill, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Hill.

She graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1947. After 16 years of being a farmer’s wife, then widowed, she began a 25-year career as a dental assistant to Dr. Robert Addleman and ending with Dr. Michael Cerveris. She was a long-time member of Mt. Olivet U.B. Church.

She was a loving mom to daughter, Katrina Beverage of Chambersburg, PA, son, Reginald Bain of Ft. Loudon, PA, grandsons; Matthew Bain (wife Christine) and Andrew Bain (wife Tamara), and great-grandson Tanner Bain (wife Samantha). She is also survived by siblings; Elaine R. Martin (husband Dale), and Daniel R. Hill, as well as numerous loved nieces and nephews, and her lifetime friend Betty Kriner.

We would like to thank the Chambersburg Hospital’s wonderful doctors and nurses, especially Dr. James Kent and his compassionate staff during Mom’s final hours.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 1:30 PM, at Mt. Olivet U. B. Church, 8204 Fort McCord Rd., Chambersburg, with Pastor Stan McCammon officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 1:30. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Edith’s name to Mt. Olivet Church.
