Franklin R. Ridgley Obituary

Franklin R. Ridgley, 83, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away August 9, 2025. He was born August 7, 1942, in Chambersburg, the son of Franklin E. and Maude Banks Ridgley. Franklin was a quarterback in high school for the Trojans, coached football for the Fayetteville Browns for several years, played the drums and loved listening to music. He enjoyed golf, Penn State, electronics, classic cars, his coin collection and guns. He worked at Mack Truck for over 30 years and drove truck for Swift and Lucky B Trailer. 


 

Franklin is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Judith (Hock) Ridgley, children; Mary, Laura (John), Dawn (Doug), Shawn (Michelle), grandchildren; Lindsay, Kylene, Rebecka, Tim, Mark, Kevin, Richard, Michael, Tierra, great-grandchildren; Vamarion, Viondre, Marlique, Braxton, Penelope, Trevyn, Kreed, Chase, Carson and Christine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Troy Ridgley and brother Donald Ridgley. 

 

A graveside service will be held on Thursday August 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Cemetery with Pastor Lawton Jacobs officiating.
