George R. Bingaman Obituary
George. R. Bingaman, 91, of Chambersburg, PA passed away on April 1, 2026. He was born on March 5, 1935, Montgomery Township, to the late George and Mary Grace (Rice) Bingaman.
George loved working on the farm when he was young. He was a union steward and retired from Mack Truck. He enjoyed carpentry, gardening, and restoring tractors. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.
George is survived by his wife, Janet Bingaman, whom he married on February 14, 2014; children Richard Bingaman (Donna), Vicki Bingaman, Mary Kathleen Thomas (Andrew), Holly Bingaman (Dustin Fisher); grandchildren, George, Patrick, Samantha, Andrew, Alyssa, and Abigail and numerous great-grandchildren, as well as 2 stepchildren and 5 step grandchildren, and siblings, Elizabeth Sharon, Doris Barnhart and Janet Helman.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia; son Michael; siblings Raymond Bingaman, Leonard Bingaman, Paul Bingaman, Maxine Walker, Mirium Coole, Cora Mills, Thelma Starliper and Helen Myers.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 10:30 AM, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., with Rev. Ron Cook officiating. Interment will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Greencastle.
