George Rankin Miller, 86, of Fayetteville, and formerly of Chambersburg passed away November 6, 2020 at Paramount Senior Living and Rehab. He was born on June 27, 1934 in Barberton, Ohio to Kenneth and Hilda (Falor) Miller. He had served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He loved living on the farm with the animals and the tractor. During high school he was a drum major in the band and in his youth he loved to do tap dancing. He had quite the sense of humor and loved doing puzzles and fishing. He enjoyed traveling and going to church. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Chambersburg. He loved the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He is survived by his five children: Bruce (husband of Mary Beth) Miller of Chambersburg, Kimberly Phillips of Chambersburg, Karen Wolfe of Chambersburg, Karla (wife of David) Scott of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Daniel Matthew Miller of Chambersburg. He is survived by twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is survived by three brothers; Bud, David and Chuck. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marilyn in 2019, and by one sister, Pat Wrobel and a brother Butch Miller.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. It was his wish to be buried at sea. For the convenience of friends, the door of the funeral home will be open to the public Wednesday Nov. 11th from 12:00 till 3:00 PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd. in Chambersburg.
