Gladys J. Peters Obituary

Gladys J. Peters, 63, of Chambersburg, PA passed away peacefully Sunday, October 13, 2024 surrounded by family and friends.  She was born December 29th, 1960 in Chambersburg PA, the daughter of the late Kermit McNew and Darlene Burkholder and step-father Harold Burkholder.

Gladys was employed by Carlisle Construction Material as a Shipping Specialist for 28 years and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and a social member of Amvets and Marine Corps of Chambersburg and loved to fish.

Gladys is survived by her husband, Douglas Peters, children Jason Foor, Lindsey, Wesley and Mathew Peters; grandchildren Kayla, Kaden, Rhyleigh, Kayleigh and Connor; sisters Pamela Leedy, Patricia Albert, and Hazel and Michael Brown (husband); numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.  She was preceded in death by sister Robin Auckey and grandson Tyler Austin Peters.

A celebration of Life will be held on November 2nd, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chambersburg Legion Post 46 located at 755 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg PA  17201.  Please forward any pictures or comments for Glady’s celebration to celebrategail@myyahoo.com.
