Glenn M. Layton Obituary

Glenn M. Layton, 82, of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania passed away August 19, 2023, at home. He was born on April 6, 1941, in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania to Marvin and Helen (Fix) Layton. Glenn served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He retired as a meat cutter and was the owner of Glenn's Grocery in Lemasters for many years. Glenn loved camping, especially at Twin Bridge Campground. He attended Chambersburg Baptist Church. 

 

Glenn is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol S. Layton, daughter, Kim (wife of Brinton) Rotz, and a sister, Nancy Chamberlain. In addition to his parents, Glenn is preceded in death by a daughter Michele Layton and a sister, Doris Lee Souders. 

 

Per Glenn's request, there will be no services. The family would like to thank the caregivers from Amedisys Hospice. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg has been entrusted with these services. Online condolences may be expressed at www.kelsocorneliusfh.com.
