Glenn E. Shaffer

Glenn E. Shaffer, 94, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away April 9, 2021 at Chambersburg Hospital.  He was born on January 19, 1927  in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania  to Max  and Hazel  (Hartman) Shaffer.  Glenn served in the US Army during WWII in Japan.  He built homes in the Chambersburg area after the war as Shaffer Construction Company and later owned Shaffer Trucking.  Prior to his retirement he began driving for Bowman Trucking Co.
     Glenn is survived by his two sons: Gregory and Edward Shaffer and his sister, Shirley Shaffer all of Chambersburg.  In addition to his parents he was preceded  in death by his wife, Betty Shaffer, two sisters, Edna Armstrong and Betty Osler, and two brothers, Paul and Welty Shaffer.
     Funeral services  will be conducted Friday April 16, at 10:30AM at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg with Rev.   Scott Bowerman  officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Central Presbyterian Church, Chambersburg
