Glenwood F. Gibbons, 93, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania went to be with his Lord and Savior September 24, 2021. He passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was born on July 20, 1928 in Doylesburg, Pennsylvania to Francis and Zelda Ryder Gibbons. He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot where he had been an electronic technician, and later retired from Franklin County where he had worked for the Office of the Aging doing home repair for the elderly. He was a longtime member of Chambersburg Bible Church. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of seventy years, Virginia Gibbons, and their two children: Del (husband of Barbara) Gibbons of Quebec, Canada, and Barb (wife of Roger) Lange of Chambersburg. He is survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Glen, was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Dougherty and Bernice Knepper, and a brother, Eugene Gibbons.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11 AM, at the Chambersburg Bible church with a lunch to follow.
