Harold H. Royer, 84, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away May 2, 2025, at Menno Haven’s Brookview Healthcare Center. He was born May 30, 1940, in Chambersburg, PA, to Lawrence W. and Rhoda Mae (Helman) Royer. Harold was a member of Heidelburg Church in Marion, PA. He retired from Landis Tool Company after 38 years. He enjoyed gospel music, grilling, landscaping, building grandfather clocks, visiting with family and friends, and repairing anything that needed fixed.   

 

Harold is survived by three children; Kevin A. (Lisa) Royer of Chambersburg, Corwin D. (Kacy) Royer of Ft. Mill, SC, and Kelly D. (Mark) Troupe of Chambersburg, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren and one arriving in September, as well as a sister Mabel I. (James) Diller of Chambersburg. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Doris J. (Leffel) Royer in 2019, as well as a sister, Evelyn Helman Geesaman. 

 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 10:30 am, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg, with Pastor David Riley officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. 

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Harold’s name may be made to Heidelburg Church, 166 Colorado St, Marion, PA, or to Menno Haven’s Employee Appreciation Fund.
