Harry Brechbill Obituary

Harry "Nelson" Brechbill, 89, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away June 4, 2021 at Chambersburg Hospital.  He was born on March 28, 1932  in St. Thomas, Pennsylvania  to David  and Laura  (Rotz) Brechbill.  He retired from Landis Tool Company after 33 years, where he had been a machinist.  He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Chambersburg and sang in the church choir.  He was a craftsman who enjoyed working in wood.
     He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joann Carolyn McKenzie Brechbill and their son, Michael E. (husband of Theresa) Brechbill of Williamsport, MD.  He has two grandchildren, Jessica Brechbill of Jeannette, PA and Amanda Brechbill of Morrisville, NC.  Nelson is also survived by a sister, Doris E. Pittman of St. Thomas, PA.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters; Elva Dilling and Julia Wallsten and a brother, David Brechbill Jr.
     Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday June 9, 2021 at 11:00AM at St. John's United Church of Christ, Chambersburg with Rev. Carolyn Saxton officiating.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 till 8:00PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Grindstone Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg.
