Helen Rudy

Helen Romaine Rudy, 97, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Chambersburg, passed away June 29, 2021 at Palm Gardens Assisted Living in Tampa, Florida.  She was born on February 9, 1924  in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania  to Isaiah  and Hattie  (Stover) Sterner.  She had been a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chambersburg.  Helen had worked in Central Supply at the Chambersburg Hospital for 18 years.  She was the widow of the late Melvin G. Rudy who passed away in 2017, at which time she moved to Tampa, Florida.
     Helen is survived by her two children:  Constance "Connie"  (the late Leon) Eckstine of Tampa, Florida and Randy (wife Mary) Rudy of North Port, Florida.   She has four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  She is survived by three sisters and four brothers, living in York County.  
     A memorial service will be conducted Saturday July 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg with Pastor Arlyn Rusche officiating.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.kelsocorneliusfh.com.
