Helen Yoder Obituary

Helen R. Yoder, age 83, went to be with the lord on November 14, 2012 at Falling Spring Nursing Home surrounded by her family. She was born August 2, 1929 in Marion, Pa to Harry and Julie (Binkley) Garner. She worked for the Stanley Company for 25 years, McCroy’s Restaurant and retired from Colonel Creek Campsite. She loved spending time with her family. Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, cleaning and animals.

Helen is survived by her daughter Darlene (wife of Ronald) Cordell, Chambersburg, PA two grandchildren: Misty Pensinger (companion of David Simpson) and Angelique Burkhard (companion of Jeff Katusin) seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and two brothers: Frank and Robert Garner. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, three sisters and a grandson Ronald E. Cordell Jr.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd. The family will welcome friends from 1:00 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery with the Rev. Murray Stevens officiating. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, PA will be handling the arrangements.
