Hilda Jean (Lawyer) Barrick, 79, of Chambersburg, PA, died at 6:26 AM, on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at her home. She was born August 12, 1946, in Carlisle, PA, the daughter of Charles and Maude (Holtry) Lawyer. She lived her early life in Carlisle before moving to Chambersburg.

Hilda was employed over the years at Dave’s Tavern, Sea-Bee Club and Knights of Columbus where she worked as a bartender. She enjoyed thrift stores and going to yard sales. 

Hilda is survived by four children, Shawn F. Barrick, Franklin S. Barrick, Mandy J. (Anthony) George, and Crystal C. (Rich) Myers; four stepchildren, Dwain, Nancy, Lola and Mata; as well as five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and siblings, Virginia Grove, Joyce Bohn, Charles Lawyer, Judith Lawyer, and Mark Lawyer. She was preceded in death by her husband Oliver F. Barrick, and siblings, Jacob Fahnestock, Annie Buck, Edward Lawyer, Margaret Clemmons, Linda Wickert, and Carol Murray.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at the Community Center at the Villa’s, 101 Apple Blossom Way, Chambersburg.
