Homer E. Edwards

Homer E. Edwards, 73, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away March 23, 2024 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on September 3, 1950 in Big Cove Tannery, Pennsylvania to Melvin and Abbie (Carbaugh) Edwards. Homer was a 1969 graduate of Southern Fulton High School. He worked as a mechanic at Letterkenny Army Depot and JLG. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Homer is survived by his three children; Michelle R. (wife of Timothy Sr.) McCleary, Brian H. Edwards, and Todd R. Edwards, five grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters; Betty Y. (wife of John) Harr and Mary Ellen (wife of John) Mumma, and one brother, Carl M. (husband of Margie) Edwards and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Homer was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Kay (Mooney) Edwards, sister Elenora F. Mooney, and brother Earl M. Edwards.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, with Pastor Ruth Smith officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Laurel Ridge Christian Cemetery Big Cove Tannery, PA.
