Ira V. Runk, 77, of Fannettsburg, Pennsylvania passed away September 1, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center. He was born on March 12, 1941 in Willow Hill, Pennsylvania to Clair and Dorothy (Neil) Runk. He was a truck driver most of his working life, having worked for Glen Rosenberry & Sons and Sollenberger Silos. He enjoyed hunting and playing softball earlier in life. He enjoyed life, telling jokes and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed his family. He had a booth in the Mercersburg Flea Market where he enj;oyed talking with the people.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Arlene M. Guyer Runk, his five children; Michael Runk of Three Springs, Robert Runk of Doylesburg, Mark Runk of Detroit, MIchigan, Steven Runk of Three Springs, Susan M. (wife of Brian) Feagley of Fannettsburg. He also has four step-children; Pamela (wife of John) Baitenger of Scotland, Tony Neil of Fannettsburg, Michael (husband of Marcie) Bridges of Somerset, and Troy (husband of Tesa) Neil of Falling Waters, WV. He has seventeen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers; Robert Runk of Chambersburg, Stanley (husband of Wilma) Runk of Roxburg, PA, Clair Runk of Fannettsburg, and three sisters; Betty (wife of Eldon) Martin of Chambersburg, Flora (wife of Ernest) Appleby of Shippensburg and Doris (wife of Thomas) Cohenour of Willow Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday Sept. 6. 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA with the Rev. Marlin Neil officiating.
