Ivan Furman Scott, 95, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away November 16, 2021 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on July 28, 1926 in Robertsdale, Pennsylvania to Peter Furman and Anna Katherine (Alexander) Scott. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He had been a self employed truck driver all of his working life retiring from Aetna Freight Lines after 39 years of hauling steel. He enjoyed doing his own mechanical work on his truck. He is a member of Chambersburg First Church of God (Grand Point Church).
He is survived by his daughter; Tammy Marie (wife of George) Foreman of Chambersburg and a granddaughter, Shannon Cordell of Chambersburg. He is survived by a brother, Clyde (husband of Nancy) Scott of Chambersburg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Lorraine Fisher Scott in 2009, a sister, Joyce Jones, and three brothers: Ralph, Harold, and Merrill Scott.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday Nov. 22, 2021 at 11:00AM at Grand Point Church with Rev. Lawrence Metzler officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening Nov. 21, from 6:00 till 8:00PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
