James Andrew Dennis, 81, resident of Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Lusby, MD and Wheaton, MD, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at home. He was born in Clear Springs, TN, the son of James Ross and Anna Mae Dennis on June 7, 1943.
Jimmy will be lovingly remembered by Teri, his wife of 41 years. He is survived by his children from his prior marriage, Tim, Michelle and Jim and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was a jack-of-all-trades. He had many jobs as a young father to support his young family. He went on to co-own a drapery business, worked in the roofing industry and eventually retired from a position with the Architect of the U.S. Capitol.
Jimmy will be remembered foremost for his love of family. He was a hard-working man, with a quick wit and a ready laugh. Jimmy loved old cars, spending warm afternoons on his boat on St. Leonard Creek and, famously, for his skill in preparing fabulous crab feasts for friends and family.
